We had an exceptional stay at a charming lodge nestled in a quiet hamlet near stunning hiking trails in the Ecrins National Park. Our host, Dominic, made us feel right at home and provided us with a well-equipped kitchen and delightful extras like fresh eggs and jam. The cozy bedrooms and lovely terrace by the river added to the overall experience. We can't wait to return!

The twin room at Ecrins Lodge was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a young backpacker like me. It had a relaxed vibe and felt like a home away from home.

Personally, I would have preferred a room with a private bathroom, but I know some people enjoy the shared experience.

We had a truly magical stay at Ecrins Lodge in the French Alps. the location is idyllic, nestled in a cute hamlet right on the edge of the Ecrins National Park. the lodge is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is just a short distance from Venosc, Les Deux Alpes, Le Bourg D'Oisans, Alpe D'Huez, and La Grave. the property itself is charming, with roses and a grape vine covering it, creating a sense of peace and safety. the highlight for us was the small waterfall and stream next to the chalet, where we could relax in the hammock. the lodge has plenty of cozy spots to relax and enjoy privacy, as well as areas to socialize with other guests. the large balcony with a BBQ was perfect for enjoying the stunning views. We also discovered a secret path that led us down to the breathtaking river. the host, Dominic, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel like family. the shared kitchen was well-equipped, and the communal area was spacious and comfortable. We can't wait to return, especially during the winter season.
